Communication is extremely important to any relationship.
It allows for great feedback and renders attempts at mind reading unnecessary.
One hindrance to communication is an imbalance of power.
If one party doesn’t express their feelings for fear of punishment or upsetting the other then the power dynamic has gotten in the way of the relationship building.
