One of the great things about Martin Luther King was the clarity of his vision. His clearly articulated goal was key to gaining enrolment amongst followers.
It’s safe to say that not everyone has these communication skills.
Comments such as:
“It’s just not right”
“Eh I’ll know it when I see it”
“I don’t know what it is but something’s wrong”
Show a difficulty with expressing what needs to be improved upon.
This lack of eloquence is extremely frustrating for all parties (both the speaker and the listener).
I believe that in order to communicate the vision the speaker must sit down and pinpoint the issue and grapple with their abstract feelings to produce an image/message that their followers find easy to understand.
It’s certainly not a convenient exercise but it can be extremely useful.
