Opinions & productivity

I think that opinion variation is a good tactic to prevent group think but only as long as it doesn’t get in the way of productivity.

There certainly should also be a limit to it. Someone has to decide a course to take otherwise you’ll be stuck in endless conversation until the cows come home.

Furthermore the form of clashing opinions and it’s toll on resources is important.

A discussion isn’t taxing and can be quite quick. Whether as a report is generally hard to do and can be quite time consuming.

If differing views is the objective why not ask someone to debate for an argument and someone else to debate against it.
