Bert & Ernie used to be best mates. Especially in the Sesame street days, they were inseparable.
Then Sesame street got cancelled.
Ernie stated looking for work whilst Bert took to the drink.
Ernie found a job and Bert became an alcoholic.
Quickly Bert’s drinking led to lashing out at Ernie.
The relationship soured and Ernie stopped replying to Bert’s texts.
Ernie faced a dilemma, does he try to repair his relationship with Bert or not?
The relationship has deteriorated so badly that to get it back to a healthy respectful level would take a lot of work. It would require difficult conversations and consistent diligence. Ernie groaned at the thought of the difficulty and volume of work he would have to go through.
Or…
Or he could just cut Bert out of his life? It had it’s advantages… It would be a lot more convenient.
But Bert was once his best mate.
Decisions, decisions.
