‘They call it anti-social media!’
Yes it certainly can be, very anti social, especially when you use it to mentally check out from a conversation.
But it should not be forgotten that the internet also provides an amazing opportunity for connection too.
That you could be in contact with anyone in the world as long as they have internet access.
It is ironic that it’s used today to zone out from the people in your immediate vicinity.
But at any moment you could reach out to someone for help or for a chat or to meet up.
It’s shouldn’t be taken for granted.
