Showing up

Woody Allen once said:

“80% of success is simply showing up”

You might read that and think oh that’s easy I could do that. All I have to do is show up. Piece of cake!

Then you might discover that showing up regularly and consistently is actually quite difficult.

It means being there, producing, no matter what the circumstances. No matter what you’re mood is, you have to show up.

It means dedication for the long term. That some point in the past you made a promise and fulfilling that promise requires showing up time and time again, regardless of the latest distraction.

It’s a tough thing to do and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
