Mind reading would make working with others so much easier.
Especially for creative work, because that requires expressing taste.
Two people could walk away from a meeting thinking that they’re on the same page and it could take weeks before they find out they’re not.
The biggest time consumer is in discussing opinions and trying to express what one likes and dislikes.
In this case I reckon the shorter the feedback loop the better.
An easy hack I see for this is to simply ask the other party’s opinion.
‘To ensure we’re on the same page can you explain it back to me?’
Not ‘any questions?’ that doesn’t cut it.
You need to hear their evaluation of the project.
It could save you weeks/months/years.
