The hierarchy of a company is like a pyramid. There’s one person at the top and many at the bottom. It’s easy to visualise and it’s quite efficient.
To have an inverted pyramid, with many at the top and one at the bottom, would be lunacy.
It would take the many forever to come to a consensus and it would take the one forever to actually carry out the work.
The many would have a vast amount of requests all vying for priority and the one would be overwhelmed.
Who knew that the ratio of Chiefs to Indians is actually very important for productivity?
If you find your project slowing down it could be that there is too many cooks around the broth.
