When pondering why someone doesn’t open up, it might be worth considering the environment.
They might be conditioned to fear vulnerability.
For example they may have witnessed the slaughtering Denise received for opening up about her embarrassing date.
Or what about Tina who still hasn’t been able to live down that mortifying sex story and that happened seven years ago!
If any mistake, any slip up, or any embarrassing moment is pounced upon who could blame them for not opening up.
