Love at first doubt

I think it’s pretty safe to say – if a boy asked a girl to sign a binding contract that she will go on a second date with him – us objective bystanders would all see that as a huge red flag.

‘I want it in writing that you are going to call me!’

Steer clear of that fella, girl!

I think this need for certainty comes from doubt. That boy has learned to doubt girls when they say ‘let’s do this again sometime’.

Now if that guy ever wants to get a girlfriend he has to calm down and stop carrying emotional baggage into each new relationship.

What’s interesting is this applies to any relationship (it’s just funnier to talk about dating :D)

A new boss, a new doctor, a new teacher.

Some relationships may recover but it’s a terrible first impression to show immediate and obvious signs of doubting someone’s word.

You just have to remind yourself that this is a new person standing in front of you and they might be different. Yes you may have strong doubts about their follow through but it’s important to give them a chance to prove themselves.
