The patient lies on the bed in agony.
Around the patient stand two helpers.
There is the doctor who brings forth her education and knowledge to help cure the patient.
Then there is the silent servant. Unlike the doctor the servant has no insight to offer, they can only offer their obedience. The servant is agenda less, the patient’s wish is the servant’s command. It is the only way they know how to help ease the suffering.
If the patient wanted to smoke in the hospital the servant would not produce a lecture but a way to make it happen.
The doctor contains fantastic knowledge but can’t spend all day by the patient’s side.
The servant will drop everything to sit by the patient’s side all day but can provide no medical insight.
The doctor has a better chance of curing the patient but the servant has a better chance of making the patient feel better.
