I played sport in school and I was on the cusp of the A team for years but always remained a B team player.
Looking back, I regret not making more of an effort. I really wanted to play for the A’s but the time I could’ve spent upskilling, I wasted watching TV or scrolling through social media.
For years I regretted that time spent and opportunity wasted, until recently.
These days I’ve been given a second chance. An opportunity to play for the A’s in another capacity and I am determined not to repeat history.
Therefore I can no longer regret the past opportunity missed because it has gifted me with added motivation for today’s chance.
