I think pushing an agenda regardless of the responses makes for a terrible interaction.
It says loud and clear
‘I’m not listening to you and I’m just going to keep hammering my point no matter what you say’
As soon as your conversational partner notices the pattern they are going to disengage, because after all what’s the point?
