Finding areas to improve was easy.
Typing them up into an email was simple.
Now all that’s left to do is hit the send button, the easiest task of them all, and yet Michael finds himself stalling.
‘What if I’m wrong?’ he says to himself.
‘What if they follow my suggestions for improvement and it doesn’t work?’
‘What if it actually makes things worse?’
So Michael rechecks the facts, verifies the data and obsesses over the email copy.
Hours pass as Michael tries to find certainty in his recommendations.
I think there is only so much analysis one can do.
There are no guarantees in life and your recommendations aren’t exempted from that.
It might work, it might not work.
By all means do as much research as possible but know that if reassurance is what you seek, they’ll never be enough.
