Organised fun

It’s funny how we try to control fun. How we seek to stimulate it and ensure it is ever present.

Lulls in conversation are to be avoided at all costs!

Board games can help and alcohol consumption can be an area of fixation.

It’s a tricky balance to strike, a tough needle to thread.

Force it too much and your chances of success evaporate.

But leave it entirely to luck and it may never appear.

Sometimes fun needs to be organised.

Time needs to be carved out.

Friends need to be called.

Especially as you get older and the risk of growing apart becomes more prevalent.

I think when it comes to fun, control should be used like salt, sparingly and in small doses.
