“But look at all the fame and riches of the self proclaimed perfectionists in the world. If it worked for them, why shouldn’t I develop some perfectionist tendencies?”
I won’t deny there are some very successful perfectionists out there but let’s consider some of the drawbacks to pursuing perfection.
You’ll have to scream at people for not using the ‘right’ shade of magenta.
You’ll constantly have a mountain of work to do because you don’t trust enough to delegate.
And you’ll drain the life and soul out of everyone around you as you fuss over the alignment of borders.
So yes Steve Jobs is lauded as one of the best business minds ever but he was also considered extremely difficult to work with.
