In this video Eminem said that it took him six minutes to write ‘Rap God’.
How did he do it so quickly?
I reckon he was so fast because he left out the perfecting stage.
Absent was the agonising over the merits of one word over another.
You couldn’t observe any hesitation about whether it was good or not because there was none.
I say this like I was there.
I wasn’t there but I can only imagine that’s what happened when you write a 6 minute song in 6 minutes.
