Creative overproduction

‘You’re producing too much, people are going to get annoyed!’

A sly justification by the resistance to keep you in your comfort zone.

Facts that are contrary to the above italicised statement:

Robert De Niro has made over 100 movies and is still considered one of the best actors in the world.

Pablo Picasso created over 300 pieces of artwork in his lifetime, he died in 1973 and is still remembered today.

Stephen King writes 1,000 words a day, which has resulted in 64 novels so far and he is one of the most famous writers in the world.

I reckon people don’t feel obligated to watch every Robert De Niro movie. They read Stephen King novels in their own time at their own pace and if they want to familiarise themselves with Picasso’s work they probably adjust the filters to sort by popularity.

Beware the resistance. It is a cunning opponent and will use any rationalisation necessary to hinder your creativity.
