The Russian invasion of Ukraine is now over 100 days old and, as I gauge the public opinion, there isn’t the same outrage as day one.
In fact you might be excused to forget it was on what with the newspapers and media outlets choosing to let celebrity court cases and reality TV shows dominate their headlines.
Now I’m no psychologist but I think this behaviour hints at a low tolerance for pain & destruction and a preference for the new and more positive in the general public.
I think in order to avoid depression there may be an unconscious self protection mechanism inside us that aims to turn focus to the positive.
But that’s just my unqualified opinion!
