I think if you tap into the fast lane of life it’s absurdly easy to get anxious and stressed.
But I think ever present is the slow lane.
A version of your reality that is moving so slowly it bores you.
To enter this version you need to put your phone away, don’t complete any tasks, and just watch the world go by.
Best achieved in my mind by lying down on the grass and watching the sky.
Up there you will see the clouds moving at a glacial pace.
Quick enough to show movement and slow enough to struggle to hold your attention.
I think staying in this lane long enough entices boredom, boredom in huge amounts, so much boredom that you’re willing to risk anxiety to break the monotony.
And there you find the choice between lanes that was always there.
