Can you hear me? What about now? Can you hear me?
Have you ever had a meeting that started like this? How long did it go on for?
Everyone’s very busy these days, as some people say time is money. Often you have to work very hard to get certain people to attend your meetings. Then the pressure is on to make their time worthwhile.
So let’s say you’re to have a conference call and the organisers say let’s try a new method for this meeting. You think why not? It could improve the call quality.
But then the ‘can you hear me?’ starts and the longer it goes on the more time is wasted. I was in a meeting recently where the first 15 minutes were spent trying to get the audio right.
What occurred to me at the time was, a little bit of testing could’ve gone a long way.
Two minutes testing beforehand could save 15 precious meeting minutes.
