A phone call with a bad connection is extremely frustrating.
You have to repeat yourself constantly.
There is regularly pauses between comments.
You constantly wonder: ‘did they hear what I said?’
There’s very little conversational flow.
I find it’s a good analogy for talking to someone who won’t look up from their phone.
