Uncertainty speech

Recently I was thinking about my graduation day and the speech that was given.

Ironically the only thing I remember about the speech was that the speaker couldn’t remember anything from his graduation day speech.

If I were to give a graduation speech tomorrow I think I would I would make it on dealing with uncertainty.

It’s a topic I reckon the audience would remember past the night of heavy drinking and it would still be relevant twenty years on.

Whether it would be good or not would be another thing but that is the topic I would choose.

Technology is advancing quicker than ever, jobs are changing constantly and more and more business is moving online.

Who knows what the future is going to look like?

There’s going to be so much uncertainty and that doesn’t have to be such a terrifying thought.

If we practice dealing with uncertainty regularly we’ll be much better able to deal with it in the future.

You can practice it by engaging in any activity where there is no right answer.

Writing, drawing, music making, filmmaking, photography, human interactions etc.
