Compounding effect

“Due to the compounding effect, a 1% improvement everyday is a 3,800% improvement in a year”

It’s a good quote isn’t it?

I saw it in a presentation today and thought I would share it with ye, my (two) readers 😀

For me it encapsulates the benefits of long term focus.

The marathon runner who paces themselves avoids the wall.

Committing to one jigsaw piece a day prevents slipping into insanity when trying to solve the impossible puzzle.

Just a few drops of water a day and the seed grows into a beautiful flower.

As Aristotle said:

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit”

This compounding effect can be put to your advantage, whatever your field/interest.

If your short term behaviors are in line with your long term focus you’ll create such momentum that you’ll become unstoppable.
