The act of moving homes is great proof that your happiness is determined by you.
Why?
Because the exercise requires traveling from the known to the unknown.
Before you leave the old dwelling I bet you feel a stab of fear. Something along the lines of…
‘What if the new place isn’t as good as this one? What if we’re miserable in the new place?’
This fear should be swiftly followed with a longing for the known.
‘But we have such a good setup here! We’re so close to the city, the shops and our friends’
Eventually, despite these feelings, you move and finally realize, as you slowly turn the unknown into the known, that you are capable of being happy in any abode.
Then the more you move, the less you fear the unknown and the quicker you detach from the known, because you’ve learnt it’s not a big deal.
