Terrifying potatoes

I think an individual’s combination of fears are as unique as their fingerprint.

You might be indifferent to potatoes but the next person might be deathly scared of them.

I think each fear should be respected regardless of how ‘silly’ it might seem on the surface.

So we all experience fear differently but I think the solution is one and the same.

Not avoiding it but confronting it.

Now confronting fear doesn’t have to be throwing yourself into the deep end all at once and it doesn’t have to include berating yourself (stop being such a baby!).

It can be small incremental steps with compassionate self talk or it can be as simple as not running away but just standing still as potato rolls towards you.

You can do it at your own pace, in your own way but I think the crucial part to alleviating fear is confronting it, not avoiding it.
