If there is one tiny crash on the motorway does that mean 4 hours of standstill traffic and thousands of drivers affected?
If one pilot calls in sick is the flight cancelled? How about a stewardess?
If a card machine stops working does that mean you simply have to accept a 50% cut in potential revenue?
I think what separates the pro planners from the amateurs is the ability to anticipate and prepare for the worst case scenarios rather than resorting to the casual dismissive response of – ah it’ll be fine.
