I think a project can't move forward on implicit loose terms. I think everyone has just got too busy a day and too short a memory for vagueness. I think a project needs concrete specific measurable next actions with people assigned to those actions and deadlines for each action. Otherwise project creep sets in. Otherwise … Continue reading Concrete next actions

Starts are always fun. Everything is new and exciting. The novelty of it all is just thrilling. Then the prospect of fame and glory is also exciting. Think about signing autographs and taking pictures with strangers in the street. Getting to know you

That's why I think small talk should be used sparingly and only as a platform to launch into more meaningful and more interesting conversation topics. Like for example getting to know you questions. Getting … Continue reading Getting to know you
The secret Twirl
'Where are the Twirls?' 'Ah here they are!' I pick one up, then I look up to see there was a 2 for €2 special on Twirls. 'Hmmm I had only been asked to get one, but I could save money with a second' Smash cut to a few hours later where the Twirl had … Continue reading The secret Twirl
