Stay in present

From what I understand it's very hard to prove causality and the most common reason for change is actually multiple contributing factors. That's why sometimes in psychology it's more useful to stay in the present. Hat tip to Dr. Amir Levine for the inspiration for this one.

Boring is funny

Seeing comedians trying to make each other laugh it's funny to see that it was actually the most boring material that had the best chance of breaking others.Which I would say contradicts the default belief that the bigger, louder, and more wacky is the funniest material.
